CHEAP TRICK Easy Guitar Lesson INVADERS OF THE HEART 1983
Переглядів 3369 годин тому
INVADERS OF THE HEART is from the album NEXT POSITION PLEASE. The seventh studio album by American rock band CHEAP TRICK, produced by Todd Rundgren and released in 1983. As with all my guitar lessons and guitar covers, I make no claim that this is the correct way to play a song as recorded on the original album, it's simply how I play it. I'm more than happy to provide more easy CHEAP TRICK gui...

From Amazon dot co to uk to my house in 48 hours, unboxed and played. I don't want to give the game away too early, but let's just say that I'm very impressed. BOB MOULD Disappointed Guitar Cover: Punk Rock Sunday

Lovely guitar. I'm pretty sure from the serial number, that's a 2023 guitar though. Stamped on 29th September (292nd day of the year). The last four digits are meant to be a tally of the numbers stamped that day but I've been told, they don't start at one! It's worth remembering that the stamp is under the lacquer, so the stamping date is somewhere in the middle of production. There's so much variation in TV yellow finishes. That one looks just right!

You could be right, buddy. The site I entered the number into said 2022, but it didn’t make a lot of sense that the guitar had been in the shop for so long. Great sounding instrument - way better neck profile for me than my ‘72 one, which is super skinny.

I love SG's.... mine is from around 1990-91. Still plays great too.... being a southpaw of course I had to be Phoney Iommi in a Sabbath cover band called Sabra Cadabra.... might have told you that before i think. I love that colour as well as their Pelham Blue model too....

Now, that looks like a fun one to play! Sounds great. I'm personally undecided about the newer SG necks, but I have to guess that their slightly larger size adds to the overall sound. At least, most of the newer ones I've played recently had a bit more mass to 'em. As always, job well done, Dunsy!

  • @ArthurFarts

Is it not a 2023, the first and fifth digits of the serial number? Or have they changed the system over the last few years?

    • @DunsysGuitarWorld

22 according to the site I looked up - I think the newer ones have the year as the first 2 digits. Just to add more confusion to Gibson serial numbers! 😆

I genuinely have no idea! I saw it, but couldn't work out what it was for - maybe to do with neck angle or something? I didn't actually adjust it as everything was fine as it was. I used this guitar at a couple of recent gigs (with a rail humbucker in the bridge) and it sounded and played fantastic. The trem is one of the best I've tried in terms of playing and staying in tune. Great guitars, definitely worth trying one. The neck is quite slim though, which may not be for everyone. I have a whole video on it coming up in a couple of weeks.

Have you read Cowboy Mach Bell's book? He mentions that the song title was an homage to Joe Perry and Brad Whitford playing together. They are two different worlds of guitar-playing, colliding together to form something great. His book is actually very interesting and authentic. Highly recommended

I just noticed that it seems to be an Audible to listen to, so I'll definitely do that if I can't pick up a physical copy. Look forward to it.
